姫路城(ひめじじょう)
Crowned as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Himeji Castle is famous for its elegant white appearance and impressive size. Regarded as a national treasure, Himeji Castle is the most well-preserved example of a medieval fortress architecture in all of Japan. Over a thousand cherry trees around the castle bloom spectacularly every year from late March to mid-April, making the celebrated castle one of the best spots in Japan to appreciate cherry blossoms in spring.
